IBPS RRB Clerk 2024 Notification – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should know the exact criteria of eligibility that will make them qualified to write the IBPS RRB Clerk 2024 exam. This section covers the main aspects of the eligibility criteria-

1. Nationality
2. Age Limit and Relaxation
3. Educational Qualification
4. Language Proficiency

Nationality 

A candidate must be either – 
(i) a Citizen of India or 
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India

Candidates age limit should be between 18 years and 28 years. Age relaxation is extended as per govt rules.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the Office Assistant vacancies must have completed a Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent and Proficiency in the local language.

Language Proficiency 

The candidates applying for the posts of Officer Scale I and Office Assistants –(Multipurpose) in any particular RRB or RRBs are required to possess proficiency in the local language of the State/ UT in which the RRB is situated to be eligible for interview, as per the notification of the concerned RRB (The condition does not apply for the posts of Officer Scale-II and III).

IBPS RRB Clerk 2024 Notification – Application Process

Candidates can apply online for the exam soon after the exam date is announced and no other mode of application will be accepted. The application process will start on 1st June 2024 and close on 21st June 2024.

Prerequisites for Applying Online

Before applying online, candidates should,

• Scan their signature and photographs. The candidate must ensure that both the photograph (4.5 cms x 3.5 cms) and signature adhere to the specifications mentioned.
• CAPITAL LETTERS signature will not be accepted
• Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make the online payment.
• Must have a valid personal email ID. This should be maintained till the completion of the recruitment process.

Steps to Apply for IBPS RRB Assistant Exam Online

Here are the steps to apply for IBPS RRB Assistant exam

• Step1 – Go to www.ibps.in website
• Step 2 – Click on the homepage
• Step 3 – Open ‘CRP for RRBs’ and click ‘Click here to apply online for CRP RRBs Officer Assistants (Multipurpose) to open the online application form.
• Step 4 – Click on ‘Click here for new registration’ and register by entering the necessary information. A provisional registration number and password is displayed on the screen. Note this down. The registration number and password is sent through SMS and Email.
• Step 5 – Upload photograph and signature as per specifications
• Step 6 – Indicate state for provisional allotment.
• Step 7 – Before submitting use ‘save and next’ to verify and modify details if required
• Step 8 – Hit the ‘Final Submit’ button once you have verified your details
• Step 9 – Pay the fee/intimation charges online.

Candidates are advised to register as per the above steps and carefully fill in the online application themselves as no change in any of the data filled in the online application is possible/ entertained after submission of the application. How to download the IBPS RRB Clerk Admit Card?

The successfully registered candidates can download the admit card by following the mentioned steps.

• Click the given link https://www.ibps.in/.
• Then enter the Registration Number that you have received in your mail id after filling the application form.
• In the next step, enter your birth date and security OTP in the required boxes.
• Now you will have access to view and download the E- Hall Ticket.
• Download the IBPS RRB Clerk Admit Card and take a printout.

Note:- The qualified students of the prelims examination can download the Call Letter for the Mains Examination only from the official IBPS website.

Exam Day Guidelines of IBPS RRB Clerk Examination

The candidates should strictly follow the guidelines given by the examining authority to avoid any mishap. The candidates must follow the COVID-19 guidelines along with precautionary steps. Candidates should keep the following guidelines in mind before going to the examination centres:

1. Report to the examination centres atleast 15 minutes before the reporting time as mentioned in the admit card.
2. Social distancing and wearing masks is compulsory for the candidates to restrict the spread of COVID-19.
3. Candidates should bring their original admit card along with passport-size photographs.
4. Original copy of an identity card like the Aadhaar card or voter card or any other identity proof along with the hall ticket.
5. Photocopies of Identity proof or Admit Card are strictly prohibited.
6. Do not bring anything other than a water bottle, admit card, and identity proof. No need to bring a pen or pencil. These will be provided in the examination hall itself.

IBPS RRB Assistant Admit Card Checklist

Once the admit card is downloaded, aspirants should personally verify all the details on the admit card. The admit card should contain all essential information related to the venue, timing, and other information. If there’s any mistake in the hall ticket, the aspirants should intimate the concerned authority to amend the errors. 

The IBPS RRB Clerk admit card should ideally contain:

• The name of the applicant,
• Examination roll number/user ID of the applicant,
• Name, and address of the examination venue,
• Date of the examination,
• Reporting time,
