A+B = 1/15 + 1/25 = 8/75

Product = HCF × LCM = 18 × 240 = 4320

Q12. A alone can do a job in 24 days, B alone in 16 days. They work alternate days starting with A. When will work finish?

Day 1+2 work = 1/24 + 1/16 = 5/48

log₁₀(2x) = 3
10³ = 2x
1000 = 2x
x = 1000 / 2

Distance/time = 8 km/h (downstream)
Boat speed = 8 − 2 = 6 km/h
